FRANCE and Denmark sparked "fix" claims on social media after both teams were booed by their own fans throughout the first 0-0 draw of the World Cup.

A dreary stalemate guaranteed the European rivals would reach the last 16, despite Peru beating Australia 2-0 in today's other Group C match.

And accusations of a stitch-up poured onto social media long before the final whistle.

One fan, calling himself BayernBoy77, tweeted: "It's fixed. Every time one team attacks they try something stupid so it won't go in.. So obviously fixed for a draw."

Another supporter, World Cup Jamie, said: "You'll never catch the fix. Imagine the hearing.."

BBC pundit Dion Dublin, the former England striker, labelled it the worst game of the tournament.

The ex-Manchester United star told Radio 5 live: "I would've thought this has been the World Cup's poorest game by far.

"We haven't seen [Denmark keeper Kaskper] Schmeichel make a diving save all afternoon."

Armchair critics on Twitter branded the goalless and soul-less clash as "horrendous" and "blatantly" arranged.

And one tweeted: "If you paid to watch Denmark vs France in Russia I feel so sorry for you."
