Did Monica from Cheer win Dancing with the Stars?

MONICA Aldama took a break from coaching during Netflix’s Cheer season 2 in order to compete on Dancing With The Stars season 29.
Aldama was cast on DWTS season 29 among celebs including Kaitlyn Bristowe, Chrishell Stause, and Nelly in September 2020 with professional dancer Val Chmerkovskiy as her partner.
Although she made it far on the ABC celebrity dance competition, Aldama did not take home DWTS’s mirrorball trophy.
Aldama and Chmerkovskiy danced to hits such as Taylor Swift's Shake It Off, Miley Cyrus' Party In The USA, and Beyoncé's Fever during season 29 of DWTS.
Her best score was a 27 and her worst was a 16.
Aldama was voted off on Villains Night in week seven.
Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe and pro Artem Chigvintsev ended up winning season 29.
Aldama’s appearance on Dancing With The Stars caused a lot of controversy in the second season of Cheer.
Some of her students them in the middle of preparing for the National Cheerleading Championship in favor of appearing on the ABC show.
In addition to that, La'Darius Marshall disliked the replacement coach who took over while Aldama was on DWTS.
Aldama joined Navarro as a cheering coach in 2000 and guided the squad to 14 National Championship victories, so she made the decision to take a few weeks off from coaching to appear on the show.
Aldama is a cheering coach and TV personality best known for the Netflix docuseries Cheer, which follows the 2019 Navarro College coed cheerleading team's problems and dynamics.
She was born on February 9, 1972, in Alabama, and relocated to Corsicana, Texas, with her family when she was six years old.
Aldama graduated from Corsicana High School and went on to Tyler Junior College to join the cheering squad.
She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a B.B.A. in Finance and the University of Texas at Tyler with a Master of Business Administration.
