ANGELINA Jolie took son Pax, 17, to meet The Weeknd on her recent family trip to New York before their alleged date night in LA, a source has exclusively told The Sun.
The Hollywood star, 46, stunned fans when she was , following a night dining with the 31-year-old Canadian singer.
An insider has now revealed it wasn't their first meet-up, as they secretly spent time together in the Big Apple last month, and he even met her teenage son.
The source told The Sun: "Ange has been in contact with Abel for a while, he was in New York at the same time as her and the kids.
"They met up for lunch in private. She took Pax along because he's a big fan and they got along really well, he was obviously thrilled.
"They are just friends, but who knows it could be more in the future, he's made no secret of the fact he has a huge crush on her."
The Sun has reached out to Angelina and The Weeknd's reps for comment.
The award-winning actress was seen in public with the star, real name Abel Tesfaye, this week after her and ex Brad Pitt reached a custody agreement over their six children - following a lengthy court battle.
and reportedly spent hours at the Italian restaurant, a celeb hotspot in Santa Monica, before leaving separately to avoid raising suspicion.
The Maleficent star wore a simple black dress, tan trench coat, nude pumps, and a black mask as she left the building.
The hitmaker went for a more casual look opting for a black tee-shirt, matching denim pants and jacket, black combat boots and a silver beaded necklace.
Their surprising friendship has come as a shock to fans, although the clues seemed to be there years earlier, with in his 2016 song, Party Monster.
In the first verse, he says: "Ooh, she mine, ooh girl, bump and grind / Ooh, she mine, ooh girl, bump a line / Angelina, lips like Angelina / Like Selena, a** shaped like Selena."
He also mentioned her ex , 57, in his hit Starboy, singing: "Let a n**** Brad Pitt, legend of the fall took the year like a bandit," referencing his über musical success in the Fall of 2015.
The Canadian singer has been linked to his fair share of famous ladies, including model , fellow singers , and Rosalía.
The Blinding Lights star dated Bella, 24, on and off from 2015 to 2019, with their first breakup happening in November of 2016.
He then began dating Selena during their split, and the couple even moved into a Greenwich Village apartment together before calling it quits a month later.
In May of 2018, Bella and The Weeknd rekindled, only to breakup once again in August of 2019.
Since then, the Save Your Tears singer has been markedly single.
Angelina has been married three times, to Jonny Lee Miller in 1996, Billy Bob Thornton in 2000, and Brad from 2014 to 2019.
The mother of six had a very rocky ending with the Once Upon A Time In Hollywood star, and the two have fought tooth and nail for fair custody of their kids.
On May 13th, Brad had a minor win in the case, when the judge granted a giving the parents shared custody of their children, except for Maddox, who is no longer a minor.
But in court documents filed in December, the children gave a clearer look at how they feel about their father, with three even wanting to testify in the proceedings.
A source told : "There was a significant change made in the custody agreements based on an extremely detailed decision made by the judge.
"Brad was just trying to have more time with his kids – and it has been clear that Angie has done everything possible to prevent this."
The insider added: "This trial lasted for several months and there were a f*** ton of witnesses, experts, therapists and other people who have been with the kids and around them, and the decision was based on this."
Angelina and Brad - five of which are minors - including Maddox, 19, Pax, 17, Zahara, 16, Shiloh, 14 and twins Vivienne and Knox, 12.

A source previously told that Brad "is so relieved," by the decision, adding that "his only intention is to spend more time with the kids."

Despite Judge John Ouderkirk's recent ruling granting Brad and Angelina joint custody of their kids, another source told the outlet that this is only a “tentative decision,” as the actress plans to continue fighting.
The insider added: "Joint custody is not the issue that Angelina objects to, there were other issues of concern, but the court proceedings are closed and sealed."
