The 38-year-old explained: "She was dancing on the tables at the reception when the doctors had told her to be in her wheelchair."

Caroline added: "Jade said 'Don't let anyone know I've gone. Don't let anyone see me leave.'

"Jack came up briefly. Jade was out of it and asleep. I told her the next day he'd stayed with her all night, she didn't need to know any different."

However, she added: "Jade went downhill. She was so ill the next day, she went home and never left again."

“We told her we would be there for them. She was pleased. They’re a testament to Jade but they have had difficult times and counselling.

“We can’t replace their mum but we help keep Jade’s spirit alive.

“We still watch old videos of their mum with them and cuddle them. They will always say, ‘Tell me something funny about Mum’.

“Every time we go round we write down a memory of her and put it in a box for them to read whenever they are down.
