IT already seemed like Gemma Collins had a death wish when she signed up for Dancing On Ice.
But her next job could stop her making it on to the rink for the ITV show next year — as she has agreed to return to the Radio 1 Teen Awards.
Almost exactly a year ago the Towie star fell through an open trapdoor in the stage.
She threatened to take legal action after the terrifying incident last October when she plummeted into the hole which Love Island stars Amber Davies, Jamie Jewitt and Marcel Somerville were using to come up on to the stage.
Gemma has clearly got over it, as she has agreed to return to the scene of the accident.
A ceremony source said: “Last year’s fall made worldwide headlines and the clip had millions of views online.
“Although it was genuinely scary for Gemma, it was a massive talking point and it’s only helped her profile grow.
“Radio 1 of course wanted to invite her back and make amends for what happened and she jumped at the opportunity.”
Speaking to The Sun days after the fall last year, Gemma said: “I’m in total shock. It is a miracle I am living to tell the tale.
“I could have died or at least been disabled at the end of it. I could have been legless. Legless!
“I’m not being funny, I didn’t even get a tenner for turning up. I didn’t even know there was a hole there.
“To be honest when it happened I didn’t know where I was, what day of the week it was.
“No joke, my life did flash before my eyes. I thought I was dead.”
Acts at this year’s ceremony on Sunday, October 21, at Wembley’s SSE Arena in London include Little Mix, 5 Seconds of Summer, HRVY, Jack & Jack, Jonas Blue, Liam Payne, Mabel, NOT3S and Sigrid.
Hopefully history won’t repeat itself and none of them will end up underneath Gemma.

Manne-Kim is no dummy
Kim Kardashian seems to be taking inspiration from her waxwork at Madame Tussauds.
She looked more mannequin than human as she arrived at a Tiffany & Co party in New York on Tuesday – where she cosied up to Meghan Markle’s best pal Priyanka Chopra.
But earlier in the day Kim proved she is no dummy, after husband Kanye West again landed himself in hot water with his pro-Donald Trump views.
Asked if she had been giving him advice, she said: “I try to. I will try to help him communicate.
"I always say he isn’t the best communicator, but he has the best heart.”
Sales multiply for Ed's divide tour

Ed Sheeran is proving you can divide and rule.
His concerts for chart-topping album Divide are set to take the crown for biggest tour of 2018.
Hitmaker Ed has sold more than 4.3million tickets in nine months – almost double his nearest rival and close pal Taylor Swift.
Her Reputation tour has flogged a creditable 2.4million, with husband-and-wife team Jay Z and Beyonce’s On The Run II series of gigs shifting 2million tickets.
Disney on Ice (1.5million) and US country star Kenny Chesney (1.3million) complete the touring top five acts of the year.
Ed has smashed records all over the world with his Divide campaign and album, which has exceeded 15.5 million global sales.
Here on home soil, his stadium run earned him the title of the UK’s biggest-ever solo tour – which included sold-out nights at London’s Wembley Stadium.
Ed’s manager Stuart Camp said: “The run has been a testament to Ed’s broad appeal.”
The top 12 touring acts is completed by Justin Timberlake, Pink, Imagine Dragons, rock combo Journey/Def Leppard, German singer Helene Fischer, Bruno Mars and Harry Styles.
Not a bad effort from the 1D lad’s first solo outing.
Kate on Skivvy Street
Kate Garraway is about to see her Good Morning breakfast TV co-host Piers Morgan in a new light – by acting as his assistant for one day only.
She is taking on the role on Monday to raise money for Global Radio’s Make Some Noise charity which gives a voice to small charities.
Kate said: “It’s going to be fun but in a terrifying way. I’m going to be Piers’ runner but he doesn’t strike me as being particularly patient if people do things badly.
“I know his favourite tea is Yorkshire Gold, he likes it strong, and he has this weird vitamin drink as well – I’ve been doing my homework, I’ve got it sorted.”
Other job swaps Kate will tackle as part of her challenge include cleaning a shark tank and a pig stable and appearing in West End musical Mamma Mia!
She’ll even fit in a stint in my job, as The Sun’s Showbiz Editor.
She said: “I’m so excited, I’m going to be pitching stories.
“This is the moment to get revenge on Morgan. I’ll dish the dirt on him.”
I can’t wait. To donate, see .
It's Azealia Rants
Azealia Banks is becoming better known for her social media spats than music.
The catty rapper, who has previously taunted Beyonce, Zayn Malik and The Stone Roses, is now at war with Lana Del Rey.
After Lana criticised Kanye West's support of 45th US President Donald Trump, Azealia posted: “Don’t use Kanye for your vapid attempts to seem politically aware when there is so much more bootleg witchcraft you could be doing to try and take down 45.”
Lana replied: “Say it to my face. I won’t not f*** you the f*** up.”
Childishly, Azealia hit back by jibing at Lana’s “ageing” look and “Michael Jackson nose”.
Good to see Azealia get a taste of her own medicine.
Cardi's Mardy
Cardi B takes it easy on a throne – while once again laying into rival Nicki Minaj.
Asked why she threw a shoe at her during a party last month, she : “For a while now she’s been taking shots at me.
“I spoke to her before, and we came to an understanding. But she kept it going.”
Cardi B was back on stage at the American Music Awards on Tuesday, which Nicki skipped.
Wise move...
