Nick Knowles reveals one of the DIY SOS crew used to play the Milky Bar Kid in the 80s
Ex-child actor John Cornelius has put his cowboy days behind him and is now a carpenter
DIY SOS viewers might have recognised a familiar face in last night's episode - with one of the carpenters revealing he used to play the Milky Bar Kid in the 80s.
John Cornelius told how he had appeared in the famous chocolate bar adverts as a child.

Host Nick Knowles approached John after he volunteered to help reconstruct a family's home for the show.
Asking the carpenter where viewers might recognise him from, John explained: "In the late 70s and early 80s I used to be the Milky Bar Kid."
He went on to show Nick photos of himself from the advert.
The presenter asked the ex child actor if he could still remember his lines.

John replied: "'The Milky Bars are on me!'" he then quipped, "That was pretty much it."
Nick and his team were in Gloucestershire for last night's episode of The Big Build.
Viewers were moved to tears as the volunteers rallied together to help Ben Wernham and his family - whose lives were changed forever when Ben suffered a freak accident on holiday in April 2016.
Ben was left paralysed from the neck down and unable to return to his home as it was not accessible.

In the show, the team adapted the Wernhams' home so that Ben would be able to move around easily in his wheelchair - even building a through-floor lift.
Speaking about the task at hand, ex Milky Bar Kid John told Nick: "If this happened to anyone, anybody would want to rally around and help.
"I think [the family] would give all of this up in a heartbeat just to have Ben back."
