Sam Faiers hits back at viewers who said they were ‘shocked’ at boyfriend Paul Knightley’s age after joint interview on This Morning

SAM Faiers has defended boyfriend Paul Knightley after fans took a swipe how he looks for his age.

The Mummy Diaries star, 27, shocked viewers when she revealed she was planning her partner's 30th birthday celebrations during their first ever joint interview on yesterday's This Morning.

The revelation quickly had viewers taking to Twitter to share a number of funny gifs and memes summing up their disbelief that Paul was only 30.

But Sam stuck up for the father of her two children in a post shared on her Instagram story last night.

"Omg this actually made me laugh @paulknightley7 people literally don't leave off... we love you that's all that matters 30 tomorrow," she wrote.

The post came hours before Sam marked Paul's milestone with a sweet tribute on the social networking site.

Sharing not one, but six snaps of the happy couple, she wrote: "We fell in love at first sight, 5 months later we was on the path to starting our own family, I love you with all my heart.

"Happy 30th Birthday To the most kind, loving, caring man in the world. Excited for celebrations with you & our family 🎉  (these pics are pre babies 🤣😉💁‍♀️)."

Meanwhile, the couple's candid interview with Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield also saw Paul confess that he'll always kiss mum Gaynor on the lips.

He said: "I don't find anything wrong with it. I'm really close with my mum. It's just something I've always done and will always continue to do.

"I even kiss my son and my daughter on the lips, it's just something we do. I didn't find it strange."

The kiss, which took place in 2016, saw viewers flood Twitter with comments after the intimate moment came as they talked about him becoming a father for the first time.
