CHERYL narrowly avoided a run-in with ex-husband Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini at a swanky Cannes do this weekend.
The 34-year-old looked shocked as she walked up stairs in a bar as JB was chatting to pals just metres away.

Cheryl was spotted in a casual white tee and mustard woolly cardigan and could be seen clearly crouching down as she tried to avoid being seen by her ex.
JB put his hand to his mouth as he saw Cheryl and her team making their way up to the stairs as he chatted to pals at the bar.
The pair, who split over two years ago, narrowly avoided bumping into each other in what could have been a very awkward interaction.
Cheryl is currently in a relationship with Liam Payne, 24, and the couple have a son Bear together.

Jean-Bernard was later seen hobnobbing with sexy reality star Tallia Storm.
The 37-year-old was seen enjoying himself with the Tallia, 19, who sported a bright pink swimsuit at the beach bar.
Last week, the 37-year-old business man last week told reporters it was "nothing weird" that they would be at the same event at the same time.
He said: "I’ve been in Cannes for 15 years. I came here with about three ex-girlfriends, so it just goes into the same box – there’s nothing weird."

Jean-Bernard added: "I’m going to be at Cannes with a future girlfriend. And, hopefully, this one will be the right one.
"After solving some personal problems I’m in a very happy place, and… yes, I’m open to something new."
