WHAT can't you miss on TV tonight? Our guide to the must-see shows...
Commonwealth Games 2018, 10.30am, BBC One
Dive into 11 days of high-quality sport from Australia’s Gold Coast.
The coverage is comprehensive, hosted by Clare Balding, Gabby Logan and Jason Mohammad from Manchester, while Hazel Irvine (right) and JJ Chalmers head out to Queensland.
The action begins this morning with the opening ceremony from the Carrara Stadium, where you can see the arrival of the Queen’s Baton after a relay which has taken it 142,000 miles from Buckingham Palace.
Then the sport kicks off tonight with badminton, bowls, swimming and the triathlon final.
First Dates, 10pm,Channel 4
Ten series in and First Dates presents a show first – former husband and wife Stuart and Mandy (left) arrive together to lend each other moral support on their respective dates!
It’s a nice idea, but could put off a potential love interest. Meanwhile, maître d’ Fred at last has new pearls of wisdom to impart.
C’est mâgnifique.
My Dad, The Peace Deal and Me, 9pm, BBC One
When he was just 16, comic Patrick Kielty’s (above) father was murdered by paramilitaries in Northern Ireland.
Despite this, Patrick voted in favour of the Good Friday Agreement, which saw his dad’s killers released but brought a promise of peace.
Here, he returns to the province on the 20th anniversary of the deal to see if it has delivered.
Benidorm, 9pm, ITV
Kenneth (Tony Maudsley, right) fears he has a Fatal Attraction-style situation on his hands when persistent Russian sailor Vlad (Antonio De La Cruz, left)fills the salon with flowers and balloons to show his undying love.
Meanwhile, there’s a nod to another vintage movie classic, Thelma And Louise, when Monty and Sammy Valentine take a road trip in an open-top sports car.
Comfortingly silly, as always.
Why do Men Earn More than Women? 10pm Channel 5
Businesswoman Karren Brady (above) explores why women, on average, earn 14 per cent less than men.
It’s clear gendered attitudes to work start young – one primary school child says, with admirable logic, that: “it’s midwife not midhusband”!
Countryfile’s Julia Bradbury also joins the debate.
