Love Island’s Gabby Allen reveals shock at Jess Shears and Dom Lever’s quickie engagement but admits she’d say ‘yes’ if Marcel Somerville proposed
LOVE Island alum Gabby Allen has responded to the surprising news that that Dom Lever and Jessica Shears will be beating her and partner Marcel Somerville up the aisle - after getting engaged.
The blonde fitness fanatic, 25, was hardly thrilled by Jess and Dom's "fast-tracked" engagement move - and says she hopes Blazin' Squad star Marcel "pulls something out of the bag" for her too.
After a three-month romance which survived Jess's hotel room infidelity with Mike Thalassitis, Jess and Dom announced they were on the road to wedded bliss at the start of this week.
And Gabby seems rather miffed at Jess and Dom's "future plans" becoming a reality faster than her and Marcel's.
She told The Sun Online: "Every time I'm with Dom and Jess they are very much in love and it didn't surprise me if I'm honest but I was a bit like 'oh'.
"It's just one of those things, when you're in our situation things do move at a different pace and being in the villa and then coming out everything is fast-tracked almost.
"It doesn't mean they have to get married tomorrow. But if that was his way of proving to her and everyone else that he wants to be with her for the rest of his life then fair enough and the ring is great."
Asked if she wanted her own Love Island gent to get down on one knee for her, Gabby didn't hide her true feelings - and even revealed just how far ahead they've been planning.
The Liverpudlian told us: "If Marcel was to propose to me I'd say yes but for us it's all about pace and there isn't any rush for us right now but he said that he's saving for a ring.
"That'd be nice, I've never been proposed to before so I hope he's going to pull something out of the bag.
"I'm quite boyish and it's only since I've been with him that I've thought about marriage and weddings and things.
"We've talked about kids because we've debated about whether they'll go to public or private schools so we're always talking about future plans."

While the couple were enjoying their first holiday together in Las Vegas recently, Marcel wasted no time laying on the PDAs by grabbing Gabby's bum in front of snappers.
Previously the duo, who refrained from having sex until the ITV2 reality show ended, were revealed to be flat-hunting together in London and planning a further holiday together in Barbados, where Marcel's family comes from.
Gabby is an ambassador for The National Lottery Awards, the annual search for the UK's favourite lottery funded projects.
