Love Island’s Kem Cetinay reveals Marcel Somerville has QUIT music trio with Chris Hughes

LOVE Island star Kem Cetinay has confirmed Marcel Somerville decided to quit making music with Kem and fellow islander Chris Hughes.
The trio delighted fans with their musical offerings during their time in the villa, but Kem exclusively revealed to The Sun Online that Marcel opted to step down from the trio - affectionately nicknamed Run KMC by fans.
Speaking about why himself and Chris were set to release their debut single as a duo, the Essex hairdresser explained: "I think Marcel wanted to do music when he left anyway.
"The type of music Marcel's gone into is more like house, chilled house music Me and Chris are rappers, we ain't got no house music in our blood."
But Kem and Chris are setting their sights high as a pair, as he admitted the duo are very keen to make a track with grime superstar Stormzy become a reality.
Kem stated: "Me and Chris would love a Stormzy record but we haven't spoke to him, he's been in Oz doing his tour.
"We'll take it as it comes. He's probably a lot more busy than us. We'll just see."
Kem - who is now the first UK ambassador for boohooMan - and Chris recently confirmed their first single, A Little Bit Leave It, will be released in October.
The pair are also set to work with Grammy nominated artist Jax Jones.
The producer, who has previously worked with Demi Lovato, spilled the beans on Kem and Chris’ plans during an interview on the Capital London Breakfast show with Roman Kemp.

When quizzed about a possible collaboration with the Islanders, he said: “Listen, if Stormzy can get in there, I’m getting in there too bruv.”
Jax continued: “I mean, look, Kem’s a Turkish brother, so we gotta support our own. We’re…there are…I’m sure we’re trying to figure it out but it’s just figuring out schedules and diaries. But there’s no music as of yet, we need to figure it out.”
Describing Kem as a ‘legend’ he confirmed the boys were working with Stormzy saying: “Yeah I’ve heard about… I mean, I think Stormzy’s doing a whole lot. I think you can expect a bunch of stuff coming up in the next few months.”
Shocked, Roman asked him if he meant a whole album and he replied: “Yeah, yeah, yeah. There’s like climaxes to the campaign and that, like, there’s bits and bobs for you to look out for.”
The Sun previously revealed that Kem and Chris had caught the eye of multiple top music execs.
A source said: “Top record companies have approached Kem and Chris as a duo and there are big offers on the table. They will be releasing a single."
