Love Island is going to America after TV bosses were so impressed with Kem Centinay, Amber Davies and the beautiful cast

Love Island is going to America after US TV bosses watched the UK version and were impressed with the cast – and the massive ratings.

The FOX network wants to reboot their version of the dating show, called Temptation Island, after the huge reaction to Love Island in the UK.

Top Hollywood reality show producer David Weintraub tells The Sun Online: “Being that Love Island is doing so well, the big hit show Temptation Island is back in production at Fox.”

“It’s going to be a reboot of the original one, but a much more updated version of the show.”

It’s taking cues from the UK Love Island – with contestants being given mobile phones in the villa, and utilising social media.

Top bosses at the network are said to have been impressed by the show’s beautiful contestants including winners Kem Centinay and Amber Davies, and the show’s big characters like Camilla Thurlow, Marcel Somerville and Olivia Attwood.

David, who has worked on shows like Hollywood Hillbillies, Celebrity Rehab and Love and Hip Hop: Hollywood, says that the producers took notice of the UK show’s ability to pull in millions of viewers, six nights a week.

“Dating shows are making a big comeback right now [in the US] and Temptation Island was always a controversial show that people enjoyed watching.”

The original Temptation Island ran for three series from 2001-2003, and pioneered the ‘separate houses’ format – where existing couples were sent to opposite sides of a paradise island to live with sexy model-types.

Season three ended with only ONE couple staying together – while every single other pairing on the island split up.

It was so successful the network also created another show in the same format – Paradise Hotel, which follows the Love Island formula of hot men and women pairing off to avoid being chucked off the show, with extra single people being bought in to shake things up.

This year’s Love Island saw the villa thrown into chaos when the boys were sent to Casa Amore and the girls stayed behind in the main house.

It led Gabby Allen and Marcel Somerville to hit the rocks after he admitted kissing another girl during a task – and Amber Davies to have a meltdown after Kem was pictured chatting to Chyna Ellis on a bed.

But while those two couples survived the show, this week has seen two break-ups.
Montana Brown announced on Instagram that she’s split up with Alex Beattie – in a post that implied it was HIS fault.

And after photos of Olivia Attwood cuddling up to her ex-boyfriend, football player Bradley Dack, Chris Hughes dumped her – only to forgive her hours later, just in time for their first loved-up interview to hit shelves.
