The Voice coach Gavin Rossdale has been axed after just one year — and McFly’s Danny Jones is tipped to replace him

THE VOICE coach Gavin Rossdale has been axed from the talent show after just one year.
The Bush frontman, 51, joined the judging panel after the BBC series moved to ITV.
TV sources confirmed he had been dropped by show chiefs, who felt his performance lacked charisma.
It is believed McFly star Danny Jones, 31, may be drafted in to replace him after impressing on children’s version The Voice Kids.
One source told The Sun on Sunday: “Gavin was great to work with during the series, but the bosses just felt he wasn’t right in the end.
“He didn’t make much of an impact, and they want someone with serious spark and charisma.
“So they have taken the decision that he won’t be back next year.
“Danny is currently one of the favourites to replace him.”

Gavin, who is Daisy Lowe’s dad, struggled to recruit singers during the series, with wannabes opting instead for Jennifer Hudson, Sir Tom Jones and Will.i.am.
An ITV spokesman said: “It is too early to confirm the line-up for 2018.”
A spokeswoman for Gavin declined to comment.
