Love Island reject Craig Lawson ‘to follow cousin Amy Childs and sign up to Towie’ before filming begins in September

LOVE Island reject Craig Lawson has vowed to follow in cousin Amy Childs' footsteps and join the cast of Towie next series.
The 27-year-old personal trainer exclusively told The Sun Online that he's eyeing up a spot on the ITVBe show alongside close pal Jack Rigden.
Speaking at The Sun's Love Island Final Party, Craig said: “I definitely want to do more reality TV, so it would be great to join Towie for the next series.
“Obviously Amy Childs is my cousin so I know a lot of the cast, and Jack Rigden is one of my closest mates too, so I reckon I would fit in.
“Filming starts again soon, so watch this space.”
Craig may even be able to convince Towie original Amy to join him on the new series.
The red-haired reality star was a fan favourite when she debuted on the very first series of Towie way back in 2010 before quitting the following year.
However, Amy, 27, does have her hands full these days after giving birth to first child, daughter Polly, in April.
Craig told us: “Polly is amazing. Amy is such a great mum.
"When she gets back from Ibiza I’m going to start training with her to help her get back into shape, although she’s already looking great.”
FROM THE VILLA
Craig was just one of the Love Island stars of past and present who attended The Sun's Love Island Final Party at Tropicana Beach Club on Monday night.
Others in attendance included series two couples Kady McDermott and boyfriend Scott Thomas, and Rachel Fenton and boyfriend Rykard Jenkins, and last year's winner, Cara de la Hoyde, who is pregnant with now-ex boyfriend Nathan Massey's baby.
They all watched as Kem Cetinay and Amber Davies were crowned Love Island 2017 winners.
In a twist, the pair were each handed an envelope by Love Island host Caroline Flack: one envelope contained nothing, the other contained £50,000.
The person with the £50,000 envelope could then choose whether to steal the money or share it.
In the end, it was Kem who landed the £50k and opted to share the loot with Amber.
Craig's former flame, Camilla Thurlow, finished in second place with Jamie Jewitt.
They coupled up after Craig was given the boot from the show.
He had made no secret of the fact he fancied Cam after arriving in the villa and things appeared to be progressing well between them, until she confessed she wasn't over ex Jonny Mitchell.
A tearful Camilla said she didn't feel she and Craig could go anywhere.
Craig, however, told after his dumping that things were amicable with Cam and they'd made plans to meet up on the outside.
“I’d love to get to know her more as a person. I feel the same about her now as I did when I went into the show, if not even more," he said.
“I’d love to see her and see if things could progress. What bloke wouldn’t?
“She’s the ultimate wife. I suppose I’ll have to wait and see when she’s out.
“What’s not to love about Camilla? She was my favourite, just like she was for everyone else.”
Unfortunately for Craig, since he left the villa and made those remarks, things have become serious between Camilla and Jamie.
Although she and the hunky Calvin Klein model opted not to put a label on their relationship, they did have sex in the villa.
Camilla said: "I can confirm he’s perfect, and he also has a perfect penis.”
The bomb disposal expert also thanked Jamie during Love Island's prom last night for completing her Love Island experience.
“Jamie, at the time that you arrived in the villa, I thought my romantic journey on Love Island was over," she said.
“I truly believe there is not a single other person who could have walked in the door to make me change my mind.”
