MEGAN McKenna and Pete Wicks are back together for the sake of Towie according to pal Jamie Reed.
The reality star told The Sun's Bizarre column the on-off pair’s relationship had been strained because of the show – but they've since been able to rekindle their romance.
The pair put their new relationship to the test by jetting off together to Las Vegas on a 'make or break' holiday.
Megan, 24, became the victim of cruel trolls who branded her "too skinny" after she uploaded a bikini selfie on the trip.
Jamie, 34, whose current girlfriend Jade Lewis has found herself on holiday with Amber Turner, says they are trying to make a go of it again for the sake of the ITVBe programme.
He said: “They're back together.
“They are one of the couples that are always on and off and that’s the way a lot of couples are.
"They're giving it a go for the sake of the show.
“The Only Way Is Essex puts such a strain on relationships some people go backwards and not forwards.”
Speaking at the Dangerous Game premiere Jamie revealed he had ended up on the Magaluf strip during a recent romantic getaway with Jade in Majorca, Spain.
Jade is currently on a cruise in Mykonos with fiery Amber which Jamie says is a “little awkward.”
We revealed the two girls had a row on the ship and he says the subsequent fallout could be played out in The Only Way Is Essex.
Jade had reportedly lost her patience with Amber after she had previously turned up at former flame
Jamie’s house in the early hours of the morning.
He said: “There are a few things going – there’s no drama, drama, it’s just a bit awkward.
“Where Jade is new to the cast she didn’t want to make it a big introduction, but I think Amber has ruffled a few feathers now, so it’s heading that way.”
