Devin Harjes dead: Boardwalk Empire and Daredevil star dies aged 41 after brief ‘cancer battle’ as tributes pour in

BOARDWALK Empire actor Devin Harjes has died at the age of 41 after a reported battle with cancer.
The beloved TV star appeared on dozens of top shows including Daredevil, Gotham, Manifest, Blue Bloods and Orange Is the New Black.
Devin died on May 27 at Mount Sinai West Hospital in New York, according to his obituary.
He is believed to have been diagnosed with cancer back in February, reports.
His cause of death is yet to be officially confirmed.
Born in Lubbock, Texas, the budding actor launched his career after moving to New York City.

The obituary said the move proved Devin's bold passion for acting and exemplified his "grit and dedication".
He started off having small roles in student films and off-Broadway shows before landing some independent cinema gigs.
After a few years, he finally got his big break on Boardwalk Empire.
He quickly became a household name for TV audiences for his portrayal of the legendary boxing world champion Jack Dempsey.

Despite only appearing in two episodes, Devin left a good impression on watchers and the TV industry.
His career was then catapulted to new heights with a string of roles on major shows during the 2010s.
During this time he also found huge success on the big screen and even won several top awards for his work.
His biggest being in The Forest is Red which won him best actor at Italy’s Tolentino International Film Festival.
His final work came on the Netflix series Manifest.
Devin starred as Pete Baylor in nine episodes between 2020 and 2021.
Outside of acting, Devin was a dedicated student of martial arts and a regular gym-goer.
Devin is survived by his parents, Randy and Rosanne and his sister Trish.
His touching obit also said he has left behind his beloved cat, Maude.
