NEW mother Alex Jones has revealed she will be returning to her role as a presenter on The One Show next week.
The popular presenter made the announcement on Friday night's show as she revealed her nerves about coming back to work after giving birth to her son Teddy.
Alex could be seen holding her tot as she said: "Hello everybody! Yes, I'm coming back to the one show on Monday.
"Matt hopefully you'll after me because I'll be feeling a bit nervous. excited to see everybody. The whole team, but it will be hard to leave Little ted as every parent I'm sure understands."
She added: "So yeah I'll be back on Monday two days a week to begin with and we'll see how we go. BBC One, 7pm, I'll see you there."
Alex had teased the exciting news on Twitter as she wrote: "Some news coming on @BBCTheOneShow in about 4 mins x"
And fans were overjoyed as one responded: "Absolutely DELIGHTED you are back on Monday. Just not been the same without you. Will Matt shed tears to have you back."
Another replied: "Lovely to hear that your coming back, no offence to the others, but they can't hold a candle to you."
One viewers gushed: "Welcome back Alex, hope everything goes well, which i am sure it will be. Teddy is lovely."
The 39-year-old previously confirmed she has given birth to a baby boy, her first child with husband Charlie Thomson in January.
“Well I do have some news I have a beautiful healthy baby boy,” she said as she called up to her show just three weeks into her maternity leave.
“We are absolutely delighted and we are completely in love with him. It’s the most wonderful feeling. 7lb 11oz – all very straightforward, it was lovely.
“Charlie was with me and my mum and dad were in the waiting room,” she added.
“The last four days have been heaven, we are in a little bubble the three of us.”
