Viewers accuse Dennis Quaid of being drunk and are shocked that Martin Compston is Scottish on The Nightly Show
Line of Duty fans couldn't believe Martin is actually Scottish, while Fortitude fans were convinced Dennis was drunk

VIEWERS of The Nightly Show were questioning how strong Dennis Quaid’s drink was when he appeared as a guest on the show on Thursday.
The 63-year-old Hollywood hunk was on the sofa of the late night ITV show to discuss his impressive film career, field questions from the live studio audience, and impress with his piano playing skills.
Introduced by show host Dermot O’Leary, Dennis was seen sipping generously from his glass while sitting on the sofa.
He gave coherent accounts of his time creating new film A Dog’s Purpose, did impressions of Dick Van Dyke and John Lennon, recalled working on a hilarious Funny Or Die sketch, and blew the audience away with his piano skills.

He also gave impressive insight to British politics.
“I was here last year filming Fortitude when the whole Brexit thing started – and got to see it all the way through to the end,” the American said.
“And now you’re having a do-over!” he laughed – referencing the snap election that was announced this week.
However viewers seemed to ignore all of Dennis’s impressive skills and memories – and instead took to Twitter to ask if he had been drinking too much.
“Would like to know what was in Dennis Quaids drink,” wrote one viewer, while another asked: “how drunk is Dennis Quaid?”
However, Dennis and his glass swigging antics were not the only thing to get viewers talking.
Fans of the BBC show Line Of Duty were astonished to hear show star Martin Compston speaking with his natural Scottish accent.
The actor hails from Greenock in Scotland originally but plays English sounding Detective Sergeant Steve Arnott on the hit BBC show.
Speaking to Dermot and Dennis with his thick Scottish accent had viewers melting.
“Freaked out by DS Arnott having a Scottish accent! Who knew?” gushed one fan on Twitter.
Another tweeted: “@martin_compston on #TheNightlyShow that accent though!”
While another wrote: “watching @martin_compston on #TheNightlyShow and honestly i had no idea he was putting on an English accent for 4 series of #lineofduty.”
The Nightly Show is due to air it’s final episode of the series tomorrow night.
