DISGRACED newsreader Huw Edwards' family home has had £250,000 slashed from its asking price after failing to attract buyers.
The plush six-bedroom pad in a leafy part of London was listed for sale during the first week of October.
But now, a listing for the South West London home that he shared with his now-estranged wife, Vicky Flind, and their five children shows that the cost of the house is now £4.5m.
It has also been given a "discreet listing" after estate agents were flooded with crank inquiries when it was placed on search engine Rightmove.
Now details are only available to potential vendors contacting London-based firm Pedder directly and they will be subject to a barrage of questions about their ability to pursue a sale before being sent a brochure or put forward to view the pad.
A source revealed: "The house has generated a lot of interest but not from the right people. The listing is now in discreet mode to root out the time-wasters, cranks and voyeurs."

The former BBC star bought the property, located in one of the area's most desirable roads, in 2006 for just under £2m and, according to public records, the house no longer has a mortgage attached to it - meaning the place will generate a healthy profit for the couple when sold.
Edwards, 63, who is thought to be living in a flat in Wandsworth, was one of the BBC’s top stars and was paid a salary of £475,000 before being arrested and narrowly escaping jail over child sex abuse images.
The neutrally decorated home, which was built in the mid-century, extends to over 4,000 square feet.
A London-based firm said of the home after listing it for sale: “The property has been tastefully renovated and extended by the current owners."

The colour scheme consists of charcoal grey, dove grey and white, while there are stylish pine wooden floors throughout the house.
The ground floor includes a spacious entrance hall, three reception rooms and has a pool table.
In the main sitting room, there is a grand piano, while the chic kitchen has recently been re-fitted by the owners.
French doors open out onto the garden, one of which has a cat flap. A spacious cloakroom, utility room and downstairs WC make up the rest of the ground floor.
There are four double bedrooms, including a master with an en suite and a separate dressing room, plus a family bathroom. And there are a further two bedrooms and a bathroom.
Huw Edwards' fall from grace
HUW Edwards was on £475,000 at the BBC when he was arrested in November 2023 over 41 images shared in a WhatsApp chat — seven of them of the worst Category A level.
He was not sacked, even though some senior BBC staff knew he had been nicked.
Instead he was allowed to step down on “medical grounds” in April 2024.
We then revealed last July he had been charged with making indecent images.
He admitted three counts at Westminster magistrates in September and was handed a suspended six-month jail sentence.
He was also ordered to undergo rehabilitation sessions and placed on the sex offender register.
Outside, there is plenty of space for several cars, plus a double-length garage. The rear of the house looks out onto a mature garden, mostly laid to lawn, which currently houses a large trampoline.
There is also an extensive wooden decking area with garden furniture and a BBQ.
