Who’s on The One Show tonight? Doctor Who companion Pearl Mackie, Helen Glover, Steve Backshall and Texas join Matt Baker and Angela Scanlon

NEW Doctor Who companion Pearl Mackie will be the main guest on The One Show tonight.
Pearl, who plays The Doctor's new, openly gay sidekick Bill Potts, will discuss her role in the new series, which premieres on BBC One on Saturday April 15.
Team GB rower Helen Glover and her husband, TV presenter Steve Backshall, will also be in the studio to discuss their 'Easter Challenge', and there will be live music from Texas.

What time is The One Show on and who is presenting?
You can turn on to BBC1 at 7pm on weeknights to watch the show.
Each night the presenters mix interviews with an array of celebrity guests with an eclectic mix of topics ranging from current affairs to pop culture.
Matt Baker and Angela Scanlon will present The One Show this evening.
Angela is covering for Alex Jones, who is on maternity leave. She shares the maternity cover role with Michelle Ackerley.
Angela, a veteran TV presenter, journalist and broadcaster, is the presenter of the BBC's revival of Robot Wars, alongside Dara O'Briain. She is also the new face of beauty brand Garnier.
Matt Baker has been a permanent host of The One Show since 2011. He is also a presented on Countryfile, and used to star on Blue Peter.
Who is Pearl Mackie?
Pearl Mackie is the main guest on The One Show tonight. She is an actress starring in the new series of Doctor Who, alongside Peter Capaldi.
Pearl caused a stir when it was announced that her character, Bill Potts, is The Doctor's first openly gay companion.
She will be on the show to discuss her role in the upcoming series, which is Peter Capaldi's last as the 1200-year-old Time Lord.
However The Sun revealed this month that Pearl could be set to face the axe from Doctor Who herself as new showrunner Chris Chibnall prepares to take over the show - and may not want to include her character.
Either way she might have some juicy insider tidbits about the new series, which starts this Saturday, April 15, at 19.20 on on BBC One.
Who are Helen Glover and Steve Backshall?
Helen Glover is a professional rower who has been ranked number 1 in the world since 2015, and rows in the women's coxless pairs category.
She was the first woman to hold the World, Olympic and European rowing titles in the same year, and won gold in the London 2012 and Rio 2016 Olympics with her rowing partner Heather Stanning.
Helen was awarded an OBE in 2013 for services to her sport.
Steve Backshall is a TV presenter best known for the BBC show Deadly 60. He has also worked as a producer and presenter for National Geographic.
Helen and Steve have been married since December 2016 after meeting at a Sport Relief event in 2014.
They will be on the show to discuss their 'Easter Challenge', a 125-mile kayak endurance race between Devizes in Wiltshire and the Houses of Parliament in Westminster.
Who are Texas?
Texas are a Scottish pop-rock band, fronted by lead singer Sharleen Spiteri.
They rose to fame with their 1989 single 'I Don't Want A Lover' and are also know for their hit 'Say What You Want'. The band's last hit was in 2006, with 'Getaway'.
They are now gearing up to release new album 'Jump On Board', which comes out on April 21.
They will perform a track from the album on the show tonight.
Can I be in The One Show audience?
Unfortunately, the One Show is not listed among the BBC shows you can apply for tickets for.

How long has The One Show been running?
The magazine style show has been running for over a decade. The first episode was aired on August 14 2006.
From 2007 to 2010 it was hosted by Adrian Chiles and Christine Bleakley, before Alex Jones and Jason Manford took the helm.
Chris Evans oversaw the Friday night hour-long episodes from 2010 to 2015.
The likes of Dermot O'Leary, Phil Tufnell, Zoe Ball and Fearne Cotton are among the guest presenters who have stood in for the regular duos.
