Matt Terry forced to apologise to furious parents after shouting c-word in front of kids in drunken pub row
HE vowed he was “too grounded” to go off the rails like previous X Factor winners JAMES ARTHUR and MATT CARDLE.
But just three months after winning the show, MATT TERRY’s clean-cut crown is slipping.
I can reveal the singer stunned onlookers and angered parents at a family pub in Wakefield by shouting the C-word in front of children during a drunken rant. And that’s just the start.
Matt has also dismayed his peers on the X Factor tour by regularly turning up late and hungover.
A source revealed: “The Matt the public saw on TV is not the Matt everyone is seeing backstage on tour.
“The pub incident was truly shocking. After one practice he got drunk at a bar in Wakefield and started swearing his mouth off in front of children, shouting the word c***. The parents who heard him were furious.
“He’s not showering himself in glory on the tour either. He has turned up late for call times and appeared hungover at rehearsals.
“At some he has had to mime through tunes while wearing shades to hide his eyes.”
Onlookers in the pub on the night of Matt’s unsavoury outburst have voiced their anger online.
One Twitter user, Elliee, messaged him: “@MattTerry93 I hope you apologise for swearing in front of children the other day at the pub, how rude! And it doesn’t suit you so stop it.”
Matt’s Snapchat posts have also painted an unsightly image of the talent show winner, with the singer repeatedly sharing videos showing him giving the middle finger to his followers.
To make matter worse, Matt faces being overshadowed by his former X Factor rival SAARA ALTO, who has been given star treatment on the tour while he plays second fiddle.
Both Saara and 5 AFTER MIDNIGHT, who were both snapped up on record deals despite losing to Matt, have been given six tracks each while Matt has five.
The source added: “People have been calling the tour The Saara Aalto Show.
“She has huge production and comes on stage at different times throughout, while Matt just comes on once at the end.
“He must be in the dressing room for two hours before he comes on stage tlistening to the crowd go mad for her.”
Last night a source close to Matt admitted he regretted swearing in front of kids, but insisted his actions had not affected his professionalism on stage.
A pal said: “Matt’s 23 and just having a good time on tour. He regrets getting drunk and swearing in a family environment, but he’s 100 per cent dedicated in his performances.”
If only he dedicated a bit more effort to his behaviour, too.

- LOGAN stormed to the top of the UK box office over the weekend, grossing £9.4million. The film, which stars Patrick Stewart as Professor Charles Xavier outsold the rest of the top 15 – including The LEGO Batman Movie, and Oscar-winner Moonlight – which took £8million between them.
- WITH the release of Beauty And The Beast just over a week ago, plans for Disney’s live-action remake of Dumbo are flying. Casino Royale’s EVA GREEN is now in talks with film bosses after WILL SMITH was believed to have turned down a role in the movie. I’m sure she’s all ears.
- NOT only will RYAN REYNOLDS be returning with the Deadpool sequel – which begins filming later this year – his character will also be making an appearance in the upcoming X-Force movie. X-Men writer SIMON KINBERG said he will star “alongside Cable and other main characters”.
- STAR Wars actor JOHN BOYEGA has hit out at SAMUEL L JACKSON after he criticised the casting of British stars as African-American characters. Responding to the comments on Twitter, John wrote: “Black Brits vs African American. A stupid ass conflict we don’t have time for.”

A US source revealed: “Jen has called it off. She really wants to work things out. They are giving things another try.”
Another insider close to the couple added of the change of heart: “There is always a chance of reconciliation. They love each other.
“They also really, really love their kids, and those kids love their parents.”
Ben and Jennifer who have three children, split a day after their ten-year wedding anniversary in June 2015 amid rumours Ben had been unfaithful.
I hope they can work things out.

But these latest snaps – from a shoot for her Eylure lashes range – were in fact taken weeks before her now very
prominent bump even started showing.
And despite intense speculation that she had already given birth to her first child with boyfriend LIAM PAYNE, she is still awaiting for the little one’s arrival.
However, she is expected to give birth this month.
