Robbie Williams and wife Ayda Field eyeing up new career as TV talk show power couple

RICHARD MADELEY and JUDY FINNIGAN spent 20 years as  telly’s favourite hosting pair.

But after seven years off screen, it’s about time a fresh couple took their chat show throne.

Following an incredible 2016, I’m thrilled to reveal that  ROBBIE WILLIAMS and AYDA FIELD are planning to do just that.

The former TAKE THAT man is performing a  career U-turn and now wants to front a chat show — with his wife as  co-host.

The idea, which I think would work brilliantly, is now set to spark a massive bidding war between the major channels for his signature.

Insiders are convinced viewers  will love their on-screen chemistry after Ayda’s brilliant stint on Loose Women — on which Robbie often also makes a cameo. A telly source said: “Robbie  has a huge fan base and Ayda has become hugely popular since joining Loose Women.

“They have a bond which their followers love but they aren’t afraid to take the mick out of each other.

“Robbie knows  Ayda wants to make it in TV and it’s something he’s always fancied a crack at. It’d be a surefire hit.

Richard and Judy became an institution hosting This Morning and later on, their own show.

“Robbie and Ayda could easily be even more successful. They’re a great pairing.”

Chat show hosts are only as good as the anecdotes they can eke out of their  guests — and Robbie knows a thing or two about personal secrets being revealed on air.

During an exclusive Facebook Live chat on my page  earlier this month, he told me that he and Ayda are “classic oversharers” after she revealed she  fakes orgasms.

He told me: “I’m not embarrassed by anything she says. Me and Ayda are classic oversharers.

“So she, apparently a few times, has faked an orgasm. That’s all right by me. It’s just a loving way to say, ‘You can stop now’.”

She also previously revealed that Robbie didn’t even know what a cucumber looks like.

Whoever signs him should leave stocking the green room with nibbles to someone else.

Shout Out To My 'X' Rating

IT’S been a top year for LITTLE MIX with the release of their incredible fourth album Glory Days.

I named it my Album of the Year in the Bizarre Awards  last week and they spent three weeks at  No1 with hit single Shout Out To My Ex.

But the girls, pictured in this exclusive photo, above, have been forced to defend their slightly risque lyrics on the record.

JADE THIRLWALL said: “We’re a bit saucier, naughtier.

“We’re a bit more grown up and we can say things now that maybe four years ago we would have been scared to say.

“There’s a couple of songs that are a bit naughty – but in a good way, in an empowering way. They’re songs that make women feel empowered.

“Blokes have songs like, ‘Oh yeah, girl in the club, yeah,’ It’s like our version of that, but in a really empowering way for a woman, because it doesn’t always have to be a man that sings about naughty things,  does it?”

I couldn’t have put it     better myself.

CBB Housework of art

THE new series of Celebrity Big Brother is just days away – and is set to be more explosive than ever as old housemates go up against new blood.
And now fans can pore over these first snaps of the colourful new house for clues of what surprises the Channel 5 show has in store.

The bold and bright interior design, which has been heavily inspired by pop art, has given the house its biggest transformation yet.

And eagle-eyed fans have already spotted that the set has 16 dining room chairs but just 15 portrait TV screens – prompting many to believe there will be one duo entering the house.

I told yesterday how KIM KARDASHIAN’s sex tape ex RAY J is in talks with bosses.
I have also revealed how ex-Premier League star JAMIE O’HARA will be entering the infamous TV house alongside rumoured returnees NICOLA McLEAN, JAMES JORDAN and JASMINE WALTZ.

It is one of my favourite shows on TV and I cannot wait.

Wright face for Umbro

MARK WRIGHT impressed the likes of JOSE MOURINHO when he scored a screamer of a goal in this year’s Soccer Aid.

And   sports brands have been eyeing him since. Now I’m told Mark has  signed a big-money deal to be the face of Umbro in the UK for 2017.

The telly star, who is married to MICHELLE KEEGAN, will  promote its clothes throughout the year to his 3million  Twitter followers.  A source revealed: “Umbro were  impressed with Mark  in the Soccer Aid clash. He is the ideal star to endorse their brand and  his huge social media following  is sure to up the company’s.”

Next year is looking good for Mark, who also has  appearances in The Royals, a new series of Take Me Out: The Gossip, Heart radio and kids’ show The Dengineers launching in the US next month.

Good thing he’ll have a load of free trackies to relax in.

Don't be Mean - Lindsay wants more

MEAN Girls is one of the most quotable films of the decade, so it’s shocking there’s been no sequel.

But 12 years on, lead star LINDSAY LOHAN is pushing for an update of the teen comedy and has even written a pitch to make it happen.

LiLo revealed: “I have been trying so hard to do a Mean Girls 2. It is not in my hands.

“I know TINA FEY and LORNE MICHAELS and all of Paramount are very busy. But I’ll keep pushing it on them until we do it.

“I’d love to have JAMIE LEE CURTIS and JIMMY FALLON in it. I’ve already written a treatment for it, so I just need a response.”

That would be so fetch.
