The Missing’s Abigail Hardingham starred in raunchy horror comedy before bagging role of Alice in hit BBC drama
The actress earned her stripes playing a far sexier character in the 2015 film Nina Forever

ABIGAIL Hardingham played a paramedic who shares her boyfriend with the ghost of his ex-girlfriend in a raunchy horror comedy before landing the leading role in The Missing.
The actress plays Alice Webster in the hit BBC drama but earned her acting stripes in 2015 film Nina Forever.
Abigail, who Cian Barry and Fiona O'Shaughnessy, played an emergency services worker who had to share her boyfriend with his dead ex girlfriend.
The bizarre plot-line saw 22-year-old Abigail spending a lot of time totally nude – something she admits took a while to get used to.
She said: “There were some really surreal moments, but I have to say filming in a graveyard in the middle of the night and me and Fiona are half naked did make me think, ‘what’s going on?’.”
Speaking about how she felt about getting her body out, she added: “We kind of all had this moment where we decided we would rather people had a real naked person on screen with stretchmarks and scars and not the typically perfect Hollywood body.”
The actress won the Most Promising Newcomer award at the British Independent Film Awards in the same year for her role in the film.
She then went on to win the leading role in The Missing which has received rave reviews.
The series follows the plight of two missing girls, Alice Webster and Sophie Giroux who were abducted in Germany in 2003.
Leading actor Tchéky Karyo, who plays tireless detective Julien Baptiste, hinted there may be another instalment of the gripping series.
The 63-year-old said: “It was exhausting – but rewarding.
“There is also a big question mark about how, eventually, a third season could happen.”
Speaking about being a part of the show, he added:“ I love to take up challenges. And I was so proud and grateful to the Williams brothers to give me such a mission as an actor. I’m really touched because they had a lot of confidence in me.
“It was very stimulating. They are so talented, and it’s always surprising the way they write their stories, with all the twists.”
The finale of the series is set to air on November 30 on BBC One at 9pm.
