Sophie Ellis Bextor shares pictures of rarely seen son Sonny as he turns 18
SOPHIE Ellis Bextor has shared pictures of her rarely-seen son Sonny as he celebrated his 18th birthday.
The Murder On The Dancefloor singer - who is a mother of three - took to Instagram with a series of photos of her eldest child.
Sophie, 43, gushed over her son Sonny as they smiled together in the garden over the weekend, alongside '18' balloons.
The proud mum looked glamorous in a blue plaid dress, while her eldest child kept it casual in black jeans and a black top.
A second snap showed the mother and son out for lunch, where he was treated to a delicious cake topped with cream.
While another saw Sonny posing on the shoulders of dad Richard, as they hung out in the kitchen of their family home.

"My baby is 18! Happy birthday to my beautiful boy. Sonny," Sophie captioned the series of sweet snaps.
She gushed: "It’s been such a special thing to see you grow into such a gorgeous person. We all love you so much."
Friends and fans headed to the comments to wish Sonny a 'Happy Birthday' - including Jamie Oliver's wife Jools.
It comes shortly Sophie was seen surrounded by all five of her kids on her birthday in a very rare glimpse into her family life.

The singer smiled happily at her birthday cake as her five sons – ranging in ages from 18 to three – watched on.
Sophie's mum, Janet, posted the rare look into her home as she gushed over her oldest born child.
The wore her trademark dark hair down around her shoulders, and sported a chic red top over a long sleeved white top with red love hearts on it.
Janet captioned the emotional post: "Happiest of birthdays to my darling first born (with her five borns)."
Sophie gave birth to her fifth and youngest child, a son named Mickey, on January 7, 2019.
Sophie has previously revealed she found out she was pregnant after just six weeks of dating and that first son, Sonny, was born prematurely.
The star is married to rocker Richard Jones who is best known as the bass guitar player with British rock band The Feeling.
He attended the Brit school in Croydon and first met Sophie in 2002 during her tour for album Read My Lips.
Richard performed in the closing ceremony of the 2012 Olympic Games with Ed Sheeran, Nick Mason and Mike Rutherford.
