Coleen Rooney says eating her placenta gave her ‘positive energy’ and killer post-baby curves
Wag has followed the celebrity trend of getting her afterbirth made into pills, yet said it tasted like metal
Coleen Rooney's post-pregnancy snack of choice was her own PLACENTA and she insists chowing down on her afterbirth has left her bursting with energy.
Wayne Rooney's wife confessed to having the raw organ, produced after she gave birth to her youngest son Kit, made into bite-sized pills.
Some experts believe popping the pills can give new mums better breast milk and a surge of essential nutrients and the WAG seems to agree.
She said after getting to grips with the slightly metallic taste they "definitely" made her feel energised.
The mum-of three, who is already a proud parent to Klay and Kai, said: "I felt full of very positive energy and it helped with a number of pregnancy symptoms such as the producing of milk.
“I slept really well and they helped to stabilise my weight after having Kit.
“Everyone has a different reaction but in my case they were great. There are so many ways to do it now so research what’s best for you.”
Talking of her busy lifestyle she believes the inch-long tablets help fuel her hectic schedule.
She told The Mirror: "I’m forever saying, ‘just wait a minute while I do this’. Balancing your time and fitting it all in can be challenging for all mums. But you get it done in the end, don’t you? No matter how much you have to do in a day.
“I’ve always got a list on the go.”
The beauty revealed she had been taking her placenta pills since January.
Alongside an image posted to her Twitter page, she wrote: "Looking forward to starting my capsules @placentaplus1 .... Thank you xx."
Coleen, 30, has followed in the footsteps of celebrities including Kim Kardashian and Alicia Silverstone in ordering the waste product produced during childbirth as a lifestyle supplement.
Ex Towie babe Sam Faiers confessed she intended to follow suit after her first pregnancy, though baby Paul's premature arrival scuppered her plans.
Digesting the placenta, which nourishes the foetus during its nine months, is also said to help ward off postnatal depression.
Meanwhile body-confident Coleen was eager to show off the results after taking the quirky tablet.
She wowed in a zesty tangerine bikini as she soaked up the son with her eldest sons Kai, six, and Klay, three, on a family trip to Barbados.
The bubbly fashion designer added to the Mirror: "And it felt good. It didn't bother me putting a bikini on."
Coleen got hitched to Manchester United ace Wayne in 2008.
Last night, she uploaded an adorable shot of the family celebrating as The Reds scooped the FA Cup in a nail-biting victory over Crystal Palace this weekend.
She captioned the three images of her hubby, kids and the prestigious trophy with the words: "Brilliant day!! So proud."
Meanwhile she has been showcasing her footballers wife credentials by pairing up with Women's FA Cup winner Casey Stoney for the launch of the McDonald's Mum of the Year competition.
The brunette has been filming with sports presenter Jacqui Oatley to promote the campaign which highlights the achievements of females in the sport at grass roots level.
