Smooth sailing? Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom look back on track as they take loved-up boat trip in Cannes
KATY Perry and Orlando Bloom have navigated the choppy waters of the last few weeks to enjoy a romantic boat ride in Cannes.
The Lord of the Rings actor was pictured getting up close and personal with singer Selena Gomez, 23, in a Las Vegas nightclub earlier this month, despite starting a relationship with Katy in February.
The pair - who have known each other for years - packed on the PDA as they cuddled in a booth following Selena's performance in the city, but the 31-year-old has clearly forgiven the handsome actor as they enjoyed a boat trip in the French town on Tuesday.
Sitting closely together, Orlando, 39, had his arm draped around Katy's shoulders as she snuggled into him while wearing a pair of white rimmed retro style sunglasses.
The actor also kept his eyes covered with a pair of shades as well as sporting a baseball cap and navy gillet over a white T-shirt.
The couple looked relaxed in each other's company despite the recent furore over Orlando's visit to Sin City, but as they reached the dock, the star's kept their distance from each other as they passed the awaiting photographers.
Katy showed off her slim legs in a cute pale blue, star print dress with a coral handbag draped across her body as she made her way to the La Colombe d'Or restaurant for a romantic meal with her boyfriend as well as fellow A-lister Kate Hudson.
The Firework singer had previously set the record straight on the rumours surrounding Orlando and Selena's night out via her official Twitter account.
Sharing a link to a recent article about Orlando's charity work in the Ukraine with UNICEF, she wrote: "Instead of giving energy & eyeballs to dumb conspiracy... check out how [cool] this is..."
Katy's post was then retweeted by Selena, who added a clapping hands emoji.
In a later message, she added, "#killemwithkindness -one day they'll get it lol..."
During their stay in Cannes, which coincides with the town's annual film festival, Katy and Orlando have been pictured cuddling on yacht belonging to Chelsea football club's owner Roman Abramovich.
The photos show Katy leaning in for a kiss and draping her arms around the actor, while in another he is seen stroking her leg as she sits on deck.
The trip is believed to be the first time the stars have spent time together since Orlando's visit to Las Vegas for a stag do.
