Jade Goody’s husband Jack Tweed makes heartbreaking plea to his late wife’s mum Jackie Budden to get in touch
JADE Goody’s ex-husband today issues a heartbreaking plea to his late wife’s mum ahead of Mother’s Day.
Jack Tweed has begged Jackiey Budden to “get back in contact” as he prepares to mark the anniversary of the tragic Big Brother star.
She died aged 27 on Mother’s Day in 2009 after a battle with cervical cancer that was played out before a heartbroken nation.
Jack and Jackie were at Jade’s side when she passed away.
But today Jack reveals how the pair have since become estranged and he is desperate to get back in touch.
He told Sun Online: “I haven’t spoken to Jac for a good few months now. I’ve tried to reach out to her but haven’t heard back and just desperately want to know she is doing OK. So to my message to Jackiey is please, pick up the phone and answer my call. Please get back in contact.”
The impact Jade’s death has on Jackiey, 62, was laid bare in a heartbreaking documentary last year which marked the 10-year anniversary of her daughter’s death.
In it Jackiey, who has suffered from drug addiction in the past, told how she still lit a candle every night for Jade. And she told how she would often sit and eat dinner at her daughter’s grave.
Jack says he knows Jackiey will be struggling terribly at the moment and would like to support her.
“The last time we spoke I know she was really, really suffering and struggling" he revealed. "Jade was Jackie’s whole world and although she is a very strong woman I know she really struggles at this time of the year like I do. I hope we will be able to speak again soon and help each other through it.”

Jack’s pleas comes a day after he exclusively told the Sun how he tried to end his life in the wake of Jade’s death.
The 31-year-old told how it was only thanks to his family that he was still here.
They found him about to take an overdose of pills and managed to stop him and help him turn his life around.
But even today Jack says he still struggles.
“I miss Jade as much now as I did the day after she passed away,” he says. “The pain never gets any easier or goes away. I know I will never meet another person like her in my life.”
