Wye Valley - Wales
The show is shot in a small Welsh village in the gorgeous Wye Valley.
The River Wye forms the border between England and Wales, and the Wye Valley is a protected area of scenic landscape that sits at its southern end.
The valley and its Gloucestershire neighbour, Forest of Dean, are often used for the stunning landscape shots.
Llandogo - Wales
Places such as local shop Brown's Village Stores and Bigsweir House in the village of Llandogo are all locations that appear in the show.
The house which Otis shares with his glamorous sex-therapist mother Jean is actually a bed and breakfast chalet in Symonds Yat, north of Llandogo.
Newport - Wales
Meanwhile the Moordale High School scenes are all shot in the disused University of South Wales campus in nearby Caerleon.
And the swimming scenes were shot in the Newport International Sports Village.
What year is Sex Education set in?
The show never actually confirms when the show is set but there is a clear 80s influence in the clothing and styling of the show.
The show's star Emma Mackey confirms: "The whole aesthetic of the show is completely inspired by John Hughes and that '80s high school aesthetic that we all know and love, and it's quite universal."
However the characters make several references to modern films and musicians such as Ed Sheeran so it is safe to say the show is set around 2018.
