SHE was the Spice Girl alter ego famous for her potty mouth and another part of her body “kickin’ out a right pong”.
Now Leigh Francis’s Bo Selecta TV parody of Mel B is being united with the real-life Scary in new show Mel B & Mel B: What A Fookin’ Year.

The comedian, better known as Keith Lemon, portrayed her as a nymphomaniac with a prosthetic chin, huge glasses and baggy leopard-print dress.
The review of the year for E4 isn’t just the first time the Bo Selecta Scary has been seen in a decade, it’s the first time both Mels have been seen together.
The real Mel B said: “I’m so excited to do this show because 2019 has been one hell of a year and I get to share all of it with ME — or rather Leigh as me.
“It’s going to be funny, fabulous, fantastic and completely crazy.

“Even I don’t know what to expect, except it’s going to be hilarious. Fasten your seatbelts for a review of the year like no other.”
The 90-minute show, which will air on E4 in December, sees the two Mels hanging out in their trademark leopard print in a high-rise flat in their home city of Leeds.
Surrounded by party food and a fridge full of bevvies, they will cast a Gogglebox-style eye over the year’s top TV moments.
It will include a few celebrity cameos and some of the latex-masked favourites from Bo Selecta, which ended ten years ago after building up a devoted following.

Leigh usually played celebrity stalker, Avid Merrion, as well as Craig David, who appeared as an incontinent singer mixed with the central character from the film Kes, complete with a Yorkshire accent and a kestrel.
Leigh and Mel B have become great mates since she returned to the UK and became a team captain on ITV2’s Celebrity Juice.
The comic previously insisted Mel loved the character, saying: “People always ask me what Mel thinks of Bo Selecta.
"But she’s a good sport and has such a great sense of humour.

“And despite the naughty send ups, she agreed, admitting: ‘It was hilarious’.”
And while Scary’s caricature might be the best known from the show, he parodied all of the Spice Girls on Bo Selecta.
You’ve got to admire Mel for taking the mickey out of herself — I can’t imagine stuffy Victoria Beckham ever doing this.

Kasabian 'heal' gig
SERGE Pizzorno is back in the studio writing Kasabian’s seventh studio album after taking a break to release his solo offering, SLP.
But as I know too well, all work and no play makes Jack a very dull boy – and that’s why the rockers have booked in an enormous one-off gig in their hometown of Leicester next year on June 20.

And for Serge and bandmates Tom Meighan, Chris Edwards and Ian Matthews, it’s a dream come true after they last played Victoria Park six years ago.
In an exclusive chat, he said: “Now feels like the right time. I’m back working on new Kasabian music and the world needs something to bring it together.
"The state of everything right now . . . we need some healing.”
Fans were worried the group could split but Serge said taking a break is what keeps them together.

He added: “As a personality I am a complex soul.”

An Outen out flop
IT took just £602 at the box office in its opening weekend, and now Denise Van Outen has branded her 2013 movie flop Run For Your Wife “s**t”.
The actress and presenter admitted that the Brit flick, also starring Danny Dyer and Sarah Harding, was “one of the worst films you’ve ever seen”.

Opening up on the Girls No Filter podcast, Denise added: “(I went) to the big premiere and I sat there and everyone was really quiet.
“Even my agent said, ‘I’m not going to lie, it’s really bad’.
“It was something to bounce back from.”
