Blow to Holly Willoughby as new TV show faces axe after just one series unless its huge budget is cut

CELEBRITY Bear Hunt faces the axe — unless its mega-budget is cut.
A second series of Netflix’s reality jungle adventure is yet to be approved despite several meetings.
Bosses want to bring it back but hosts Bear Grylls, 50, and Holly Willoughby, 44, are likely to face pay cuts if they do.
A cheaper location is also being sought, as well as plans for fewer expensive celebrities.
Mel B, Lottie Moss, Danny Cipriani and Boris Becker were among the 12 hunted down by Grylls in the Costa Rican jungle during the first series.
A source said: “It got excellent reviews and was a brilliant production.
“Bosses were happy with its performance.
“Yet if it is recommissioned, cuts will 100 per cent be made and this could include talent salaries — both Holly and Bear as well as the celebs.
“All measures are being explored.
“As to location, think Clacton or Croatia, not Costa Rica.”
