Emmerdale quitter ‘lined up for EastEnders role’ after leaving the soap this year, say bookies

A FRESHLY departed Emmerdale star could swap the Dales for Albert Square in a TV soaps shakeup, according to online speculation.
Paula Lane recently portrayed villain Ella Forster on ITV 's Emmerdale until she was recently carted away by police and thrown in jail thinking she had attacked her ex, Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson).

Her stint on Emmerdale on lasted 16 months, with bookmakers taking odds that Paula will next appear on BBC'S Eastenders.
The actress is no stranger to starring in soaps and became a household name when she played Kylie Platt on Coronation Street.
Paul played the character from 2010 until her dramatic end in 2016.
Now bookies are taking bets on what her next gig will be and Betway has given odds of 5/1 for Paula to join EastEnders.

"Paula Lane has been a household favourite in British soaps for over 15 years now, recently departing Emmerdale as Ella Forster, but is perhaps best known for her role as Kylie Platt in Coronation Street," Betway's Mike Reading told
"Our traders think her next move could be a sensational move to Eastenders and make her a 5/1 shot to become a regular in Albert Square."
The betting agency also gave odds of 6/1 for Paula getting a role in another TV drama, and 8/1 for a stint on I'm A Celeb later this year.
There's also the option to bet that she might end up in the Celebrity Big Brother house once the competition kicks off on Monday.

"And there's more – she's at 10/1 to step into the Celebrity Big Brother house next week, potentially reuniting with her former on-screen hubby, Jack P. Shepherd, who's rumoured to be joining the show," Reading said.
Paula first appeared to confirm she had quit Emmerdale when she updated her professional Spotlight account to confirm she would cease filming on the soap opera in February 2025 after 16 months in the role.

Taking to Instagram, the soap star shared a video she'd recorded in February ahead of filming her final scenes.
She told her followers: "Hey, all you lovely Emmerdale fans.
"Today is Valentine's Day and I am actually about to go and finsh shooting my final scene on Emmerdale as Ella.
"By the time you watch this, it's going to be around April, I think. I just wanted to say I have had a lovely time here.
"I've met some wonderful people. And I will really, really cherish the experience.
"I just want to say thank you all for your support, your messages.

Paula concluded: "Honestly, everything is all positive. There's no negatives to spin on this."
