Louis Theroux hits back after Piers Morgan vowed to ‘destroy him’ in boxing match

Louis Theroux has hit back after Piers Morgan claims he would "destroy" him in the boxing ring.
The war of words began with the BBC interviewer told boxer Anthony Joshua he could "actually take" the TalkTV star.

On his show, Louis Theroux interviews, the 53-year-old broadcaster asked the former World Heavyweight Champion if he thought he could 'take' him.
AJ replied: "I could actually get you a fight and it will do well ... You would bring viewers to my broadcasting platform."
Louis then asked who the star could potentially match him up with in the ring as a producer off-camera suggested legendary TV presenter Piers Morgan.
As the professional boxer burst out laughing, Louis suggested it would be a "better match up."

"For one, he's very famous and I think I could take him," he suggested as it was left with more laughs by his interview subject.
Piers, 58, snapped back as it seemed the former Good Morning Britain star did not take too kindly to the clip.
Reposting the clip on X, formerly known as Twitter, he fumed at the video as he implied that he would happily fight his fellow TV star.
The Uncensored star fumed: "🤣🤣Have you lost your marbles, @louistheroux?"

He added: "I’d destroy you in 30 seconds, you puny wastrel."
However Louis wasn't taking his words lying down as he made it clear he was not afraid of the challenge.
Theroux even took more jabs at the star as he carefully evaluated the factors whilst throwing another verbal punch at his interviewing counterpart.
He suggested: "I don't think you've got the cardio fitness, Piers, TBF.
"You'd gas out and after that I'd just be playing music on your chin like a boxing Beethoven."
This comes as Piers won yet another major award for his nightly show, which also airs on Fox Nation in the US and Sky News Australia.
Last night, he beat out stiff competition as she was named Broadcast Journalist of the Year at the Media Freedom Awards.
The judges said: "He confronted controversial topics head on & as well as holding traditional power to account, his work had seen him challenge some of the most dominant & dangerous social media influencers."

Posting a behind-the-scenes snap of his team, he wrote: "Very proud to have won Broadcast Journalist of the Year at @EditorsUK Media Freedom Awards.
"I was up against some brilliant journalists on the shortlist & salute them all for their brilliant work."
