SAS: Who Dares Wins star QUITS less than an hour into first day of filming

JOHN Barrowman sensationally quit telly’s hardest reality show after less than 30 minutes.
The former Dancing On Ice judge walked out on Channel 4’s Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins during the first episode.
John, 56, had started filming in New Zealand with a raft of other famous faces including Rachel Johnson, Bianca Gascoigne and Anthony Ogogo last week when he threw in the towel.
A source said: “John’s exit from Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins will go down in the show’s history as the fastest ever.
“They’d all got kitted up in their uniforms and had started filming in New Zealand when he chose to walk out.
“It is an incredibly mentally and physically challenging television show and the task they were facing was difficult.

“Most of the stars were shocked when after 30 minutes John said he did not want to take part any longer.
“He left pretty much then and there. It was all a bit strange and naturally, the producers who make the show weren’t best impressed to see one of their biggest stars turning on their heel and quitting before an hour was up.”
John is believed to have been flown back to UK not long after returning to the hotel where the celebrities had been in quarantine.
Celebrity SAS marked John’s first big TV comeback after he was sacked by ITV in 2021.

Bosses booted him off the long-running skating show when historical claims of sexual misconduct reappeared.
John, who previously acted in shows including Doctor Who and Torchwood on the BBC, was accused of repeatedly exposing himself on set.
He went on to apologise for his behaviour and said it was “only ever intended in good humour to entertain colleagues on set and backstage.”
He added: “With the benefit of hindsight, I understand that upset may have been caused by my exuberant behaviour and I have apologised for this previously.”
Fans waiting to see John’s speedy exit will have to wait until next year when the show airs on Channel 4.
The next series of Celebrity SAS, which stars former MP Matt Hancock, is due to air later this autumn.
