NAGA Munchetty made sure that BBC Breakfast lived up to its name after she was caught having a quick bite to eat on camera.

Appearing on Thursday morning's show, Charlie Stayt introduced a report about emojis before the camera cut instead to Naga.

Naga was seen picking up what looked like a bowl of porridge before awkwardly realising the camera was on her.

She then froze before slowly placing the bowl down - and it certainly didn't go unnoticed by those watching at home.

Viewers found the moment hilarious, with some calling for more actual breakfast content on the flagship morning show.

Taking to Twitter, one person wrote: "I loved Naga's face when they didn’t show the footage of this emoji clip and she was trying to have her breakfast."

Another added: "Naga caught slipping on BBC Breakfast this morning..."

While a third remarked: "We need more breakfast content like this on BBC Breakfast. Amazing."

Earlier this week, Naga led tributes for the late BBC News cameraman Raeph Ballantyne.

The presenter took to social media to pay tribute to Raeph who she described as a "wonderful, kind and sweet man".

The 47-year-old also sent her condolences to the cameraman's loved ones in the heartfelt post, shared with her 277,000 followers.

Naga wrote: "A wonderful, kind and sweet man.

"Brilliant at his job,  generous to those he worked with - I was lucky enough to film with him on a few occasions.

"He will leave a massive gap of talent and kindness. He will be sorely missed."

BBC Breakfast airs weekdays from 6am on BBC One.
