Who is Andrew Maxwell and why is he famous?

Andrew was born on December 3, 1974 making him 49 years of age.

He started stand-up comedy in 1992 and soon began taking warm-up slots on British television.

2019 was a great year for the comedian, who recorded an episode of QI and appeared on the political panel show Breaking The News for the BBC and Roast Battle on Comedy Central.

He has yet to confirm whether he will be back to voice this year's Celebrity Ex on the Beach, which will include stars from Love Island and The Only Way Is Essex.

He is also known for his political opinions and wit.

In 2018, a clip of the comedian talking about Brexit went viral.

On the clip, Andrew can be heard saying: "It's not the Irish border, it's the British border in Ireland. The Irish border is the beach."

The clip was watched by over 200 million people worldwide and has over 250,000 comments.

Outside of politics and stand-up, the Irish comedian is married with three children who currently reside in Kent.

Andrew also hosts the podcast Eejits of the World on YouTube alongside Canadian stand-up comedian Glenn Wool.

He took part in in 2023, a show where host Lucy Kennedy visits celebrities in their homes to engage in open and candid conversations about their lives and various topics.

Andrew admitted that he no longer drinks while performing, after getting booed off a Dublin stage.

He said: “About 15 years ago on stage in Dublin, I’d been drinking for about 20 hours straight and I attempted to do a gig in the Iveagh Gardens and I got booed off.

“Horrific. But it turned my career around. I started valuing it. I was like, how have I let this be the thing I take for granted?”

When did Andrew Maxwell get evicted from I'm A Celebrity?

Andrew became the second camp mate to get the boot on December 1, 2019 after a tough few days which saw him clash with Ian Wright and James Haskell.

Despite the fact viewers had complained about the way Ian and James spoke to him in the jungle, Andrew only had positive words about the show.

Speaking to hosts Ant and Dec,  Andrew said: "It's been an absolute pleasure. Thank you."

When asked how he managed to keep his spirits up in the camp he added: "Just relentless banter."

Speaking about Ian, Andrew said: "I love the man, everyone is hugely into their families in there but I think both of us feel it at the same level and got on the same rhythm.

"But there was never even a moment of personal animosity. There was huge amounts of affection. Absolutely again it's learning to live with other people."

He then said he wanted James Haskell to win the show, telling Ant and Dec: "He's a natural leader.

"Jim is relentlessness, keeping people's spirits up with banter or he's supporting people. But he hates dithering."
