A RESTAURANT got its revenge on Ryanair boss Michael O'Leary after slapping additional charges for leg room and priority seating on his food bill.

The low-cost airline is renowned for adding extra charges such as allocated seating, priority boarding and baggage onto the cost of a flight.

The Ryanair CEO once proposed fitting the airline's toilets with coin-slots so passengers would have to pay €1 to use them - before later admitting that the idea would have gone against EU regulations.

He also floated the idea of standing tickets for flights.

And he even once proposed scrapping two of the three toilets found on his aircraft in order to make room for more seats.

However, a restaurant in Co Meath has joked that they gave O'Leary a taste of his own medicine when he paid the eatery a visit this week.

Luvida Restaurant in Navan added just under €38 extra to O'Learys bill at the end of the evening.

The receipt added on a charges of €7.95 for extra leg space, €9.95 for priority booth seating and €19.95 for quiet area reservation.

Sharing a snap of smiling O'Leary next to Luvida Restaurant Manager Marika Chocianowicz, the food spot said: "Thank you to Michael O'Leary for choosing to dine with us tonight!

"It was a pleasure to host you. Hope you don't mind us adding some additional charges to your bill for extra leg space, priority booth seating and quiet area reservation."

People have hailed the restaurants joke as "brilliant", although the food spot never really forced O'Leary to cough up the extra cash for the extras.

Ryanair boss Michael O’Leary stunned as he takes pie to the face in shock snaps but delivers typical response

One person exclaimed: "Charged for seating? Ohhh my."

A second joked: "Did you not sell him any scratch cards?"

A third said: "Ahh very good. Hope his meal was on time."
