PlayStation VR ‘will die’ without virtual reality porn, says XXX industry
Porn's top brass have called on Sony to allow proper XXX videos on its virtual reality headset for video gamers
SONY'S PlayStation VR could be a major flop if it doesn't embrace adult videos, porn industry insiders have told The Sun.
The virtual reality headset – which works with PlayStation 4 consoles – is designed for gaming and entertainment, but porn experts say there's a real risk it won't survive if it doesn't start offering saucy adult vids.
Sony's headset launched back in 2016, and lets gamers experience completely virtual worlds that are generated by their games console.
Randy users can access VR porn using a few different workarounds, but Sony doesn't allow XXX VR content on its official store.
Speaking to The Sun, top porn star Brett Rossi explained: "PlayStation VR network does not support adult films."
"Those sorts of platforms need to come to terms with [the idea that] adults can have adult time. It's okay," she added.
Rossi has starred in "close to 10" virtual reality porn productions, and says they provide a "great first-hand experience".
She told us that one of the "major limitations" of VR porn right now is the limited number of ways people can access it.
She's not alone in her beliefs, either.
We spoke to Lisa Moore, who works for the internet's leading specialist virtual reality smut site VRPorn.
She said that porn is "definitely a catalyst" for new users buying VR headsets.
"They may not talk about it publicly, but hardware companies are very aware of this," she explained.

"In the end, any system that isn't compatible with VR porn will die out due to consumer dynamics.
"Betamax was also a Sony product, and it lost out to VHS for similar reasons.
