Burger King Russia reportedly said it planned to accept Bitcoin payments earlier this year.

It has partnered with Russian start-up Waves to create and run the scheme.

Waves will be in charge of the admin, keeping a ledger of who owns what.

You might not be able to purchase any WhopperCoins if you live in the UK, but there has been some exciting burger-related news of late.

Burger King is extending its delivery service with Just Eat to over 100 restaurants by the end of 2017.

Home delivery is available in restaurants in London, Manchester, Birmingham, Nottingham and Leeds.
