Call of Duty down updates — Warzone & Modern Warfare 3 servers hit with outage as users report being ‘kicked’ from games

THOUSANDS of Call of Duty MW3 and Warzone players reported issues with the game's servers today.

Over 1,000 users reported being unable to connect to the Activision servers, as per Downdetector.

Users reported being kicked from Warzone and Modern Warfare 3 matches, losing progress in the process.

Others have reported their accounts being reset to level one.

The Sun has contacted Activision for comment.

    Thousands of Call of Duty players continue to experience issues with the game.

    The issues reported by players on social media and Downdetector include:

    • Multiplayer, Warzone and Zombies server issues
    • Rank, weapon levels and classes have been reset

    Players are still experiencing a wide range of issues with Call of Duty.

    The game released a statement shortly after 3pm today, saying it is "working on a fix".

    However, no time frame was given for when the issues will be resolved.

    Activision's website still shows that Call of Duty's servers are up and running, despite many players reporting issues with both MW3 and Warzone.

  • Call of Duty clamps down on cheats

    Call of Duty banned 6,000 accounts this week following a spike in cheating reports.

    “As part of ongoing security updates, a single telemetry system was taken offline for upgrades over the weekend,” the game said. “This action resulted in cheat developers claiming RICOCHET Anti-Cheat was offline. It was not.

    “As a result of monitoring activity over the weekend and the purposeful reactivation of this upgraded system, #TeamRICOCHET was able to identify and ban over 6000 accounts for cheating and hacking from February 16 – February 20.

    “Our team continues to work on security updates for issues across various modes in Call of Duty: Warzone and Modern Warfare III.”

    Call of Duty has acknowledged the widespread issues on the game and says it is "working on a fix".

    The official Call of Duty Updates account on Twitter said in a statement: "We're working on a fix for a known issue that appeared overnight that is preventing progress from being tracked in various areas of the game including but not limited to events, challenges, Battle Pass, and SR.

    "Players may also notice unusual behavior related to account level and loadouts."

    Thousands of Call of Duty players across the globe have reported issues with the game.

    According to Downdetector, 63 per cent of the reported problems related to server connection, while 22 per cent was about game play and another 15 per cent had issues with login.

  • More rage from fans as game issues continue

    Call of Duty fans have continued to be left in the dark amid widespread issues with the game.

    Both Call of Duty and Activision have yet to comment on the outage, which is seemingly impacting players across the globe.

    "Call of duty is a joke," said one fan on Twitter. "The only reliable thing on this game is the store."

    "Why is all of our stuff gone and reset??? What is happening?" asked another.

    X user ForwardLeaks has compiled a list of the affected areas amid today's Call of Duty outage.

    Unlike most outages, the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 servers are not completely down for most players.

    Some users have been able to enter matches but face long load times.

    Others are reporting that their accounts have been reset back to level one.
