People are just noticing important iPhone trick that everyone should activate

IF you're concerned about being tracked on your phone there are some ways to limit it.

iPhone actually has an easy-to-use tool that allows you to prevent your IP address from being tracked.

Boost your iPhone privacy

This applies for "known trackers" whenever you're using Safari and the Mail app.

It's one of the many ways Apple has boosted privacy control over the years.

And it's all to do with something known as Private Relay.

As Apple explains: "When Private Relay is enabled, your requests are sent through two separate, secure internet relays.

"Your IP address is visible to your network provider and to the first relay, which is operated by Apple.

"Your DNS records are encrypted, so neither party can see the address of the website you’re trying to visit.

"The second relay, which is operated by a third-party content provider, generates a temporary IP address, decrypts the name of the website you requested, and connects you to the site."

IP address tracking should be switched on by default.

But if you want to check, follow these steps.

IP address tracking on iPhone

Go to Settings and select Wi-Fi.

Tap the i button next to the network you're connected to.

Scroll down and look for Limit IP Address Tracking.

Ensure it's switched on.

For your mobile data you can do the same by going to Settings, then Mobile Data.

Tap Mobile Data Options and you'll see the Limit IP Address Tracking bit at the bottom.
