Barcelona transfer news: Catalans make Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho their prime target in transfer window to partner him with Neymar

BARCELONA have made Philippe Coutinho their main transfer target, according to reports.
The Liverpool attacker has been on blistering form this season and has netted five times while also getting five assists.
But Sport are reporting that the Brazilian - who netted the opener against Brazil - has caught the attention of Barca who now want to sign him.
The Spanish publication also state that Coutinho, 24, has the 'technical and tactical' ability to play for the La Liga champions.
And the former Espanyol man is seen as an ideal partner for his international team-mate Neymar.
Coutinho has been linked with a move back to the Spanish city with there being claims he attempted to force a move through in the last transfer window.
His representatives were in contact with Barcelona over a switch but Luis Enrique decided to strengthen in other positions first.
French club Paris Saint-Germain are also interested in the wing wizard while there was reports of Real Madrid making a swoop.

However, Liverpool have already been linked with a potential replacement in the shape of unhappy Napoli forward Lorenzo Insigne.
The Italy international occupies the same left-wing spot as Coutinho but his transfer fee is proving to be a sticky point for the Reds.
Jurgen Klopp has stated he does not want to let Coutinho go and he also penned a new contract until 2020 less than a year ago.
