JAMIE VARDY snubbed a move to Arsenal because he was worried he would not fit in with the way they play, according to reports.
The England striker scored 24 Premier League as Leicester City won the title last season, thriving in Claudio Ranieri's thrilling counter-attacking system.
The 29-year-old agreed a four-year deal to stay at Leicester despite being offered a more lucrative move to join Arsenal earlier this week.
According to , Vardy believes that his style of play - on the last shoulder, exploiting through balls - does not mesh with Arsene Wenger's possession based game.
The Foxes averaged just 43.7 per cent possession in their 38 Premier League matches last season - more than just TWO other clubs.

Arsenal on the other hand had more of the ball than any other team in the division, averaging 58.4 per cent of possession in their matches.
At the Emirates that increased to 61.6 per cent - the Gunners were the only team to break the 60 per cent barrier.
Leicester also completed only 9,137 passes over the season, almost half of the Arsenal total of 17,382.
Vardy is also said to believe that this current Leicester squad can mount a serious defence of their title, as well as bloody a few noses in the Champions League.
Arsenal boss Wenger also refused to rule out the possibility of Vardy playing out of position if needed.
The striker met with his agent after Monday's 0-0 draw.
The pair agreed to announce his decision in the hope of avoiding any unwanted distractions with England now in the knockout stages of Euro 2016.
