New Chelsea boss Antonio Conte backed to bring ‘seductive’ football to Stamford Bridge in first Premier League season
Frank Lebouef tips current Italy manager to restore the good times as a member of the 'new generation' of coaches

NEW Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is set to bring ‘seductive’ football to Stamford Bridge next season.
That’s according to former Blues defender Frank Lebouef, who adds that the current Italy manager has all the qualities to succeed in west London.
Conte signed a three-year deal to replace interim boss Guus Hiddink back in April but won’t link up with his new side until after Euro 2016.
Italy have looked impressive after beating Belgium and Italy, and the pressure will be on Conte to get Chelsea back on form following their disastrous season.
However, the 46-year-old has a proven track record at club level after leading Juventus to three consecutive Serie A titles between 2011 and 2014.
Conte managed to group together some big personalities including Carlos Tevez, Paul Pogba and Andrea Pirlo, and Lebouef is confident the Italian can repeat his previous success in the Premier League.
He told Goal: “Italian football has changed. When I was a player I didn’t want to go to Italy because it was boring as a defender.
“Conte is part of the new generation of coaches in Italy where it is more offensive and seductive football.
“They [Chelsea] needed a change and I like those coaches who are between their 40s and 50s who have a new idea of football.
“Like Jose Mourinho, like Didier Deschamps, like Laurent Blanc – we need a new generation of coach to bring something new.
“I really think he can do well, he’s been successful, he was a fantastic player and he is a real leader. I think it is a good idea, we will see.
“Last season [at Chelsea] was very appalling. I went to the Paris Saint-Germain game over the two ties and I never saw Chelsea, that was too easy for PSG. Chelsea now has to react.”
