Chris Froome fury as driver deliberately mangles Team Sky bike after being ‘rammed on purpose by an impatient driver’ in hit-and-run incident

CHRIS FROOME has posted a worrying picture of a mangled Team Sky bike after claiming he was deliberately "rammed on purpose by an impatient driver" in an apparent hit-and-run smash.
The three-time Tour de France winner was out on a training ride when the alleged incident happened.
Froome tweeted a picture of his wrecked Pinarello Dogma F10, that can cost upwards of £10,000.

The front and rear wheel in particular, made of carbon, appeared severely buckled.
Froome said: "Just got rammed on purpose by an impatient driver who followed me onto the pavement!
"Thankfully I'm okay. Bike totalled. Driver kept going!"
Team Sky have confirmed Froome intends to contact local police over the incident.
But with his training spanning roads in Monaco, France and Italy, they are yet to ascertain which police to contact.
The bikes were only introduced this January, with the riders getting to take them for a spin for the first time at their training camp in Alcudia, Mallorca.
According to Team Sky, Froome could well have gone back out training after the incident, with the crash happening not far from his Monaco home, just across the border in Beausoleil, which is on the French side of the border.
Froome, 31, lives in tax haven Monaco, but has some of the best hills in Europe on his doorstep to train for the infamous climbs of the Tour de France.
He is currently in training for the 21-day grand tour that starts on July 1 in Dusseldorf, Germany, with warm-up races planned as a build-up.
