WLADIMIR KLITSCHKO has denied suggestions he will return to the boxing ring this year and face Dillian Whyte.
Rumours had surfaced that the former unified heavyweight king Klitschko, could make a return to boxing and face Dillian Whyte, at Wembley Stadium on April 13.
However, Klitschko, 42, told the comeback was not on - even labelling the suggestions as ‘fake news’.
Klitschko walked away from the sport in 2017 after losing to Anthony Joshua in what was a fight of the year contender.
Joshua is set to headline Wembley on April 13, but with an opponent yet to be confirmed there was suggestions the Brit could make his stateside debut against Jarrell Miller instead.

When SunSport asked about the Klitschko showdown, Whyte said: “Who knows? This is heavyweight boxing and stranger things have happened.
“I'd definitely fight Klitschko though, if he wants it, he can have it. And he won't be coming back ever again after I'm done with him. That I can promise you.
"I have trained alongside him and spared him, I will knock him out. He gave AJ hell and he is a big strong man but I want to fight him. I know how to fight him.
"I just believe i will take it into his kitchen and rip the sink out. He doesn’t like body punches, I know that from sparring, so he will get that.”
Whyte was the front runner to face Joshua at Wembley, but the Brixton banger labelled the heavyweight champion a ‘clown’ as he claims the offer his rival put to him was ‘silly’.
With Klitschko ruling himself out of a return, and Whyte revealing negotiations with Joshua are going poorly - maybe the 30-year-old will not appear at Wembley in April.
Whyte added: “All I know is that it's very unlikely that I'll be fighting AJ in April.
"There has been a first offer but it is utterly ridiculous, a lot less than what I made for Chisora, I think they only made the offer to cover themselves, they are not serious about it.
"The offer is silly, I am a pay-per-view fighter now, I have worked my way up with nine wins since I boxed him, all won in spectacular fashion.”
