Jeff Stelling’s Men United March: Day two did my tan no harm… Bristol was more like the South of France
Sky Sports legend is taking on 15 walking marathons in 15 days from June 2-16 for Prostate Cancer UK

TODAY we walked from Weston-super-Mare to Bristol and never mind the West Country, it was more like the South of France.
After the first day ended in a monsoon, the second was bathed in sunshine.
The busy bars and cafes we walked past in Bristol were clearly doing a brimming trade with punters sat outside enjoying the weather with glasses of wine and cider.
It did my tan no harm at all – which will be great news for those who seem to take interest in it.
I remember once after returning from holiday I received a letter from a viewer who had written to tell me: “I’ve just seen your tan on TV and thought I would let you know my mum used to have a wardrobe in that colour!”

COMEDIAN Mark Watson joined us on this leg of the walk in aid of Prostate Cancer UK.
Not only is he a great stand-up and a very funny guy, but he is an absolute football fanatic.
He supports Bristol City and as well as knowing everything about the Robins, I discovered he is an expert on all lower-League football.
Really good company and what I would call a proper football fan.
Also walking with us was a chap called Adam Adler.
His name may not be familiar to people outside the TV industry, but he is a top executive producer and the man who came up with the hit ITV show The Cube.
And no, before you ask, he did not challenge us to get from the start to the finish by walking only lit paving slabs.
And nor did we have to put scoop one basket of balls into another within 30 seconds before we could continue.
Mind you, we were confronted with a couple of gates and hurdles which he overcame in super quick time.
If we run into trouble later on, I might ask him to come back and make the challenge easier by reducing the legs to 16 miles instead of 26!
