Liverpool’s Jurgen Klopp downplays Reds’ title hopes after Watford thrasing – but it doesn’t stop fans getting excited on Twitter

JURGEN KLOPP has downplayed his Liverpool side's title hopes after they thrashed Watford 6-1 in a stunning performance - but the fans are still starting to get excited.
Sadio Mane helped himself to a brace as Liverpool overtook Chelsea at the top of the Premier League table by a point.

The former Southampton man was in clinical form as other goals from Philippe Coutinho, Emre Can, Roberto Firmino and Georginio Wijnaldum saw Watford dominated at Anfield.
But not even German boss Klopp could have predicted the ferocity of Liverpool's play against a Hornets team who have impressed under Walter Mazzarri this season.
Afterwards, he said: "When the result gives you the impression that it is easy there is a lot of hard work behind that. The result is wonderful and the performance is terrific.
"But Chelsea yesterday were not bad, Manchester City against Barcelona not bad, Arsenal great movement and Tottenham - oh my god. We need to be good.

"Good results and performances help confidence. We will send the players all around the world and hopefully they come back healthy for the big challenge of Southampton.
"There is nothing to celebrate in the moment - this is our responsibility to play well when you put on the red of Liverpool. It is all good until now.
"I'm really not interested (in talking about the title). For me it's more important that we look like a team who is able to win football games.
"On a good day, we are really difficult to play and that's the most important thing we can say."
