Tiger Woods’ preparations for 150th Open at St Andrews revealed as he signs up for event two weeks before

TIGER WOODS is gearing up for his crack at The Open by taking part in a two-day event in Ireland.
The returning golf legend has signed up for the JP McManus Pro-Am at Adare Manor between July 4-5.
It is the next chapter in the 15-time major winner's remarkable comeback from injuries sustained in a life-threatening car crash in February 2021.
The JP McManus-hosted event will give Woods the chance to sharpen up for his eagerly-anticipated appearance at the 150th Open Championship at St Andrews in July.
The charity Pro-Am will feature some of world's best golfers including Rory McIlroy, Jon Rahm and Brooks Koepka.
McManus said: "Tiger's presence at Adare Manor will undoubtedly bring huge excitement to the thousands of spectators.
"We are very grateful to him for giving up his free time to be with us."
Woods made a dramatic return to action at last week's Masters.
He posted a first round 71 to help him make the cut before eventually finishing 47th.
Afterwards, Woods promised British fans he will be in the field when The Open returns to Fifeshire this summer.

“That’s something that’s near and dear to my heart.
