PRINCE Harry has admitted he doesn't know "how long my father has left" and said a reconciliation with his family is all in Charles' hands.

The Duke of Sussex said there is no reason to keep fighting - but that the King won't speak to him over his security row.

Harry today lost an appeal battle to keep his privately-funded security in a humiliating blow.

Now he has told the BBC in a bombshell interview that the row could actually be solved by his father.

He said it is the last roadblock in a full reconciliation with his family - after he left being a working royal.

Harry said Charles "won't speak to me because of this security stuff".

He also said he doesn't know how long the King has left to live but that he wants to "reconcile" with him.

Prince Harry's biggest bombshells:

"I would love reconciliation with my family. There's no point continuing to fight any more, life is precious", Harry continued.

Harry also sensationally blamed the King for his woes and claimed "this whole thing could be resolved through him".

He said his father could do this by "stepping aside" but instead called on the Prime Minister to help rather than asking his dad to intervene.

Harry also moaned it was "impossible" to bring his family to the UK and that it is "sad" that he won't be able to show his children his homeland.

Harry's row started after he stopped being a working royal in 2020, moved with wife Meghan to California, and wrote his bombshell book Spare.

He added in the interview: "Of course, some members of my family will never forgive me for writing a book.

"Of course, they will never forgive me for lots of things.

"But you know, I would love reconciliation with my family.

"I've always, there's no point in continuing to fight anymore.

"And I said, life is precious. I don't know how much longer my father has he, he won't speak to me because of this security stuff, but it would be nice to reconcile."

Harry said there have been "so many disagreements between myself and some of my family" but claimed he had now "forgiven" them.

The 40-year-old said he feels singled out and the way he's been treated in the court fight "uncovered my worst fears" - saying security "imprisons" those in the royal family from having a different life.

"You can't live outside their control if you want to be safe."

Harry's most incendiary quotes

  • "He [my father] won't speak to me because of this security stuff."
  • "Some members of my family may never forgive me for writing a book."
  • "I don't know how long he [my father] has left."
  • "There have been so many disagreements between myself and some of my family."
  • "I can't see a world in which I would bring my wife and family back to the UK at this point."
  • "I've been treated very very very differently to anyone else who exists, past or present, I've been singled out."
  • "I never asked him [my father] to intervene - I asked him to step out of the way and let the experts do their jobs."

Prince Harry said he loves the UK, despite what "some people in that country have done".

He said: "I can never leave the royal family. That is my family.

"I've given 35 years to my country. The threats and risks to my life...I was born into this position. It's only increased over time."

The royal blamed his defeat on a "good old fashioned establishment stitch up" and said he feels "let down".

The interview comes after Harry lost his appeal against the decision to remove his taxpayer-funded security.

The Duke of Sussex brought the case against the Home Office and the Executive Committee for the Protection of Royalty and Public Figures (Ravec).

He had moaned he was "singled out" after his round-the-clock royal protection was axed in the wake of Megxit.

Harry also bizarrely claimed stripping him of his security was a plot to force him and Meghan Markle back to Britain.

The loss - his second unsuccessful appeal against the decision - could be the final nail in the coffin for his security row, although Harry could still take his fight to the Supreme Court.

It also means he faces paying the legal costs for both sides, which is estimated to amount to more than £1.5million.

A Palace Spokesperson said: "All of these issues have been examined repeatedly and meticulously by the courts, with the same conclusion reached on each occasion."
