IT was a disaster that devastated a community, with harrowing images from the tragic scene leaving Britain in shock.
Images of Grenfell Tower - situated in one of England's wealthiest areas of North Kensington - submerged in flames were soon followed in the coming days by tearful firefighters, inconsolable neighbours and furious protesters.

The blaze claimed the lives of 72 victims including 53 adults, 18 children, one stillborn baby who died on the day of the fire and Maria del Pilar Burton, who died the following January.
